Accessibility Statement

We want this site to work for everyone. Here is where it stands and how to tell us when it does not.

What we aim for

We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is the standard most commonly referenced in US accessibility law, and it is the bar we hold new pages to.

What is already in place

  • A skip link so keyboard users can jump straight past the navigation.
  • Every image carries descriptive alt text, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Dialogs - the quote popup and the message widget - trap focus, close on Escape, and return focus where it was.
  • Every form field has a real <label>, not a placeholder standing in for one.
  • Text is sized in relative units and reflows down to a 320px screen without horizontal scrolling.
  • Animation is disabled automatically for anyone whose system requests reduced motion.
  • Headings run in order, and the page structure uses real landmarks.

Known gaps

We would rather list these than claim the site is perfect:

  • The site has not yet been audited by a third party or tested with a screen reader by a daily screen reader user. Our testing so far is automated plus keyboard-only.
  • Some photographs used as decorative backgrounds carry no text alternative because the information is repeated in the surrounding copy - if you find a case where it is not, tell us.

Tell us

If anything on this site stops you getting what you need, email service@tristatepropertymanagement.com or call (708) 905-4471. Tell us the page and what happened, and we will fix it and reply. If you would rather not use the website at all, the phone line does everything the forms do.
